- Meet with your team to discuss how My Degree Counts (MDC) aligns with your organization’s mission and work. How can you integrate MDC into existing programs and/or events? How can you work toward creating a culture of education among your clients and the community?
- Develop a plan to put MDC into action for your organization. Options to consider: show the online PSAs at an event; survey your clients about their interest in completing a college degree; create a communications campaign; start a speaker series or mentoring program.
- Identify a certain number of clients that you will support through degree completion. Make a commitment to these clients that you will be there to help them every step of the way until they complete their college degree.
- Send a message from the head of your organization. A message from the boss to current and potential clients demonstrates firm commitment from the entire organization.
